Naked Ziplining Event raises $24K for Breast Cancer research

The recent wet weather here in the Okanagan may have been a bit rough, but that didn't stop more than 64 ladies from zipping along steel lines in the buff.

Zipzone Peachland held their Naked Ziplining Event on Thursday and although they didn;t reach their target goal of $30,000, they did however manage to raise a grand total of $24,000 for breast cancer research.

"We didn't break any records, I did actually find out yesterday (Wednesday) that an American company holds the record for the highest number of naked zipliners at one hundred and eighty three," says President, Kevin Bennett.

Bennett says the turnout was fantastic despite the wet and rainy weather and they have now set their goal for next year even higher than this year.

"We're going to aim for 200 participants for next year, so that's great, we have something to shoot for," adds Bennett.
